Privacy Policy for PDF Toolkit
Effective Date: 24th August 2026
Privacy Commitment: PDF Toolkit processes all your documents, images, and files 100%
locally on your device. We do not operate remote document servers, and your files are never
transmitted to external clouds without your explicit intent.
1. Introduction
Thank you for using PDF Toolkit. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy
Policy details how our application handles device permissions, documents, and data.
2. Information and Data Handling
- No Personal Data Collection: PDF Toolkit does not collect, store, transmit, or sell
any personal data or personally identifiable information (PII).
- Local Document Processing: All PDF operations (Merge, Split, Compress, Rotate, Organize,
Convert, Crop, Watermark, Sign, and OCR Text Extraction) are executed entirely on your device.
- No Cloud Uploads: Your documents, images, signatures, and extracted text never leave your
device unless you explicitly choose to share or export them using Android's system share menu.
- Temporary Cache Management: Temporary files generated during file conversions or page
rendering are kept in your device's secure app cache and can be cleared at any time within the app settings.
3. Permissions Used & Purpose
PDF Toolkit requests minimal permissions solely to deliver core document management and conversion capabilities:
- Camera (Optional): Required only when using the "Scan Document" feature to capture pages
and photos to convert into PDF documents. Images remain local to your device.
- Storage / Read & Write Media: Required to open documents selected by you, import images,
and save processed PDF or converted files to your device storage.
- Biometric Authentication (Optional): Used locally to lock and protect private documents or
app access using your device's fingerprint or face unlock. Biometric data is managed by Android OS and is
never accessible to the app.
- Notifications (Optional): Used to notify you when long background PDF operations or batch
exports complete.
All permissions are used strictly for local device functionality and never to harvest personal
information.
4. Third-Party Services & Advertising
PDF Toolkit may integrate Google AdMob to display advertisements to support app development:
- Google AdMob: May collect and use anonymous device identifiers (such as the Google
Advertising ID) and non-personal analytics in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
- No File Access for Advertisers: Third-party ad SDKs do not have access to your documents,
scans, signatures, or files.
5. Children’s Privacy
PDF Toolkit does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The
application is safe for general audiences of all ages.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features or legal requirements. Updates will be
reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
